Afghanistan LHPS-II Intelligent Electric Sanding Machine

Pavement construction depth is an indicator of pavement roughness. In the past, China used manual sand spreading methods to determine the depth. Although this method is simple, the human error is too large, and there is a lack of practical operating standards. This situation can no longer meet the testing needs of China's road departments. Since the Ninth Five-Year Plan, China's expressways have entered a key construction phase. The Ministry of Transport's "Regulations on Field Testing of Highway Subgrades and Pavements" stipulates the content of the inspection, and promotes the use of electric sand spreading instruments to meet the needs of quality standard testing methods for expressway pavement engineering.

Overview

Pavement construction depth is an indicator of pavement roughness. In the past, China used manual sand-spreading methods to determine the depth. Although this method is simple, the human error is too large, and there is a lack of practical operation standards. This situation can no longer meet the testing needs of China's road departments. Since the Ninth Five-Year Plan, China's high-grade highways have entered a key construction stage. The Ministry of Transport's "Highway Subgrade and Pavement Field Testing Regulations" stipulates the contents of the tests and promotes the use of electric sand-spreading instruments to meet the needs of testing the quality standards of high-grade highway pavement projects.

This instrument is a new product jointly developed by our factory and the Highway Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport. Based on the Japanese electric roughness instrument introduced by the Ministry of Transport's Highway, our factory has improved many shortcomings of the instrument according to China's actual conditions, producing China's first domestically produced prototype. This prototype was subjected to on-site testing and verification by relevant units organized by the Ministry of Transport's Highway in December 1992 and was compared with the Japanese electric roughness instrument and the manual sand-spreading method under the same conditions. The results show that the electric sand-spreading instrument produced by our factory is simple to operate and easy to use, avoiding human errors. It is an ideal testing instrument for testing and evaluating the macroscopic roughness and skid resistance of pavements.
