Overview

The seepage test instrument is finely processed and has high testing accuracy. It is suitable for determining the permeability coefficient of asphalt mixture pavement and compacted asphalt mixture specimens. It is used to test the water seepage performance of the pavement and the mix design of the asphalt mixture.

Instrument Composition 

1. Graduated cylinder: Made of organic glass, installed on the upper part of the instrument, with a volume of about 600ml, marked with scales on the top, resolution of 2ml, with coarse markers at 100ml and 500ml.

2. Connecting pipe: Connects the graduated cylinder and the base, with a stainless steel valve in the middle, used for starting and stopping the experiment.

 

3. Base: The inner diameter of the lower opening is ∮150mm, and the outer diameter is ∮220mm.

4. Bracket: Consists of a column and a top plate.

5. Weight blocks: A total of four blocks, each weighing about 2.5kg.

6. One standard ring for water seepage area (hereinafter referred to as the standard ring), with a bottom diameter of ∮150mm.

7. Accessories: Marking ring.

8. External dimensions: 23 × 23 × 55cm

Preparations

1. Prepare a bucket of water, red ink, a broom, etc.

2. According to the procedure T0703-93 Asphalt Mixture Specimen Forming Method (Wheel Rolling Method), prepare asphalt mixture specimens with specimen dimensions of 30cm × 30cm × 5cm demolding. When demolding the specimen, place paper on the surface, or select the test pavement.

3. Add a few drops of red ink to a bucket of clean water to make the water a light red color.
