Product Description
Purpose and Scope
This instrument is designed for the loose bulk density test of fibrous medium-grained wood fiber for asphalt pavement according to the JT/T 533-2020 standard of the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China.
Product Parameters
1. Metal Cup: A stainless steel metal cup with a volume of approximately 100ml, an inner diameter of 40mm±1mm, a height of 80mm±1mm, and a smooth inner surface.
2. Funnel: Height 115mm, upper and lower inner diameters of 55mm±1mm and 35mm±1mm respectively, and a smooth inner surface.
3. Size: 11×11×27cm
4. Weight: 5kg
Test Steps
1. Dry in an oven for more than 2 hours and cool in a desiccator.
2. Clean the inside of the metal cup and funnel: Close the valve at the bottom of the funnel, slowly fill the funnel with the dried and cooled granular fiber using a shovel, place the funnel approximately 40mm above the metal cup, open the valve, and allow the fiber to fall into the metal cup under its own weight;
3. Use a ruler to scrape off excess fiber from the metal cup and smooth the surface. During the test, do not shake or compress the fiber in the metal cup.
4. Zero the porcelain dish on the balance, transfer the fiber from the metal bucket to the porcelain dish, and weigh the mass of the fiber m0accurate to 0.01g;
5. Zero the metal cup on the balance, fill the metal cup with pure water at 23°C±0.5°C, wipe off the water on the outside of the cup, and weigh the mass of the water mwaccurate to 0.01g.
